1. Application and acceptance
These terms apply to the Kinnote app and related features provided by SosoPixel. By installing or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
The usage rules and license terms of the App Store from which you downloaded the app may also apply. Mandatory law and required app-store terms control if they conflict with these terms.
2. Service and license
Kinnote is a personal tool that helps you manage records about people close to you, plans, notifications, widgets, exports, and backups on your device. While you comply with these terms, SosoPixel gives you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes.
You must not use the app for an unlawful purpose, bypass security features, or reverse engineer, redistribute, rent, or sell it beyond what applicable law expressly permits.
3. Records and your responsibilities
Names, contact details, photos, notes, and other records that you create or import are handled mainly on your device. SosoPixel does not operate a separate Kinnote account or a server that receives relationship records, so you are responsible for the accuracy, legality, and management of your records.
When you record, export, or share another person’s information or image, you must have any necessary authority or permission and respect that person’s rights. You must not use the app for harassment, impersonation, unlawful surveillance, or infringement.
4. Backups, exports, and device management
Kinnote backup files are encrypted with a password you choose. The password is not sent to SosoPixel, and we cannot recover a lost password. Unencrypted exports such as CSV files may contain sensitive information, so you are responsible for protecting where they are stored and with whom they are shared.
Records may be lost if the app is removed, a device is lost or damaged, the operating system changes, or you fail to manage the device. You should regularly back up important records to a safe location and separately manage and delete operating-system backups and exported files.
5. Kinnote Pro purchase
Kinnote Pro is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase that removes advertising. It is not a subscription. The price, currency, and tax conditions displayed in the app and App Store at the time of purchase apply. Core record creation, viewing, and export features remain available whether or not you purchase Pro.
Payment, receipts, purchase restoration, and refunds are processed through Apple and the App Store under their systems and policies. You may attempt to restore a purchase using the same store account, but restoration can be limited by account status, store availability, or platform policy.
If a refund, payment reversal, or store decision removes the Pro entitlement, advertising may appear again. Existing Kinnote records will not be deleted or locked because of that change in Pro status.
6. Advertising and external services
The free version may include Google AdMob advertising and advertising privacy controls. Record-keeping features remain available if advertising is restricted or not shown, and Kinnote advertising areas are removed when a Pro entitlement is confirmed.
Advertising, the App Store, the operating system, and services to which you share content are governed by each provider’s terms and privacy policy. SosoPixel does not control third-party operations or separate transactions between you and a third party.
7. Updates and service changes
SosoPixel may update the app for security, compatibility, or feature improvements. Some features may change or stop being supported because of changes to operating systems, devices, or app stores.
We work to provide the app reliably, but we do not promise that it will remain permanently available or operate without interruption or error on every device. We will use available methods to give advance notice of an important discontinuation or change that requires user action when reasonably possible.
8. Intellectual property
The Kinnote app, name, logos, design, text, and software belong to SosoPixel or their lawful owners. You retain rights in records you create, and SosoPixel does not acquire those rights beyond what is needed to provide app functionality.
9. Warranties and limits of responsibility
Kinnote is a tool for organizing memories and plans. It does not guarantee the accuracy of what a user records, delivery of a particular reminder, or any relationship outcome. Do not rely on the app as the only place to keep or verify critical plans or information.
To the extent permitted by law, SosoPixel is not responsible for indirect or incidental loss caused by your device, password, exported files, external services, or failures that are not reasonably foreseeable. Nothing limits liability for intent or gross negligence, or rights that cannot lawfully be limited.
10. Ending use
You may stop using Kinnote at any time by removing the app. You must separately delete records stored on the device, operating-system backups, and exported files.
If you materially violate these terms or applicable law, or interfere with safe operation of the app, we may limit access to functionality to the extent permitted by law. Ending use does not affect payment obligations, liabilities, or statutory rights that have already arisen.
11. Privacy
See the Kinnote Privacy Policy for information about on-device records, permissions, advertising information, and customer-support correspondence.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when the service or applicable law changes. The revised terms and effective date will be posted on this page, and material changes that disadvantage users will be announced in the app or on the website a reasonable time in advance.
13. Governing law, language, and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and jurisdiction is determined under applicable law. Mandatory consumer rights in your place of residence are not affected.
If the Korean version differs from a translation, the Korean version controls, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
