1. Agreement
These terms apply to the Asset Log iOS app and related features provided by SosoPixel. Installing or using the app means that you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement and App Store Usage Rules govern the app license obtained through the App Store, and these terms add conditions for operating the Asset Log service. Mandatory law and required app-store terms control if they conflict with these terms.
2. Service and license
Asset Log is a personal tool for iOS 16 and later that lets you manually record total assets and liabilities by date and view net worth, comparisons, and charts.
While you comply with these terms, SosoPixel grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes. The app is licensed, not sold.
3. Not a financial service
Asset Log does not connect to bank accounts, financial institutions, or real funds. It does not execute transactions, hold assets, assess credit, or provide tax, legal, accounting, or investment advice.
Net worth, changes, ratios, and charts are record-keeping calculations based on the numbers and dates you enter. Check original records and consult a qualified professional when appropriate before making an important financial decision.
4. Records and your responsibilities
You are responsible for checking the accuracy, legality, and currency of the asset, liability, and note information you enter. Changing the display currency changes number formatting only; it is not an exchange-rate conversion.
When you record, export, or share information about another person or jointly held assets, you must have any necessary authority or permission and respect applicable law and other people's rights.
5. Device storage, backups, and restoration
Original records and settings are kept on your device. SosoPixel does not operate an Asset Log account or synchronization server, so it cannot view or remotely recover records on your device.
A backup is encrypted with a password you choose. The password is not sent to or retained by SosoPixel and cannot be recovered if lost. You are responsible for the exported file's location, access controls, and deletion.
After confirmation, restoration completely replaces current records and the display currency with the backup. Keep important backups safe against app removal, device loss or damage, a forgotten password, file corruption, and storage-provider problems.
6. Notifications
Monthly or quarterly reminders are optional. They may be delayed or not shown because of operating-system permission, Focus modes, time-zone changes, or device conditions. Do not rely on an app reminder as the only way to make an important check or meet a financial deadline.
7. Advertising and external services
The free version includes Google AdMob banner advertising on Overview and Records and advertising privacy controls. Record-keeping remains available if an ad is restricted or not shown. The app does not offer an in-app purchase or subscription.
Google advertising and consent services, the App Store, the operating system, and file storage or sharing services that you select have their own terms and privacy policies. SosoPixel does not control a third-party service's operation or a separate transaction between you and that provider.
8. Prohibited use
You must not:
- Use the app for unlawful, fraudulent, infringing, or harmful activity
- Bypass or interfere with the security, integrity, normal operation, or access controls of the app or a third-party service
- Copy, reverse engineer, modify, redistribute, rent, or sell the app beyond what applicable law expressly permits
9. Updates and service changes
The availability of some features may vary with the supported iOS version, device compatibility, the App Store, or the status of external services.
SosoPixel may update, change, or discontinue features for safety, compatibility, or product improvements. Important discontinuations or changes requiring user action will be announced through a reasonably available method.
10. Intellectual property
Rights in the Asset Log app, name, icon, design, copy, and software belong to SosoPixel or their lawful owners. You retain rights in records you create, and SosoPixel does not acquire those records beyond what is necessary to provide app features.
11. Warranties and limits of liability
SosoPixel will use reasonable efforts to provide a stable app but does not guarantee that records or calculations are complete or accurate, that the app is fit for a particular purpose or permanently available, or that it will operate without interruption or error on every device.
To the extent permitted by law, SosoPixel is not liable for indirect or incidental loss caused by input errors, management of a device, password or backup, a third-party service, or an event that could not reasonably be controlled. This does not limit liability for intentional misconduct or gross negligence or rights that cannot lawfully be limited.
12. Ending use
You may stop using Asset Log at any time by removing the app. You must separately delete records on the device and backup files exported elsewhere.
If you materially violate these terms or applicable law or interfere with the app's secure operation, access to features may be restricted to the extent permitted by law. Ending use does not affect accrued responsibility or statutory rights.
13. Privacy
See the Asset Log Privacy Policy for information about on-device records, notifications, encrypted backups, advertising information, and support correspondence.
14. Changes to these terms
SosoPixel may revise these terms when app features, external services, or applicable law change. Updated terms will be posted on this page with their effective date.
Material adverse changes will be announced through the app or website a reasonable time in advance.
15. Governing law, language, and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and jurisdiction is determined under applicable law. Mandatory consumer rights in your place of residence are not affected.
If the Korean version and a translation differ, the Korean version controls unless applicable law requires otherwise.
