1. Overview
Asset Log is a personal iOS app for manually recording total assets and liabilities. SosoPixel does not operate an Asset Log account system or a server that receives or synchronizes your asset records.
This policy covers records and settings handled on your device, backups and notifications you choose to use, Google advertising and consent services, and support correspondence.
If app features or data practices change, SosoPixel will update this policy and its effective date to reflect how the app works.
2. Information handled on your device
Asset Log may keep the following information on your device.
- Record dates, total assets and liabilities you enter, and calculated net worth
- Notes attached to records
- Display currency, recording cadence, reminder date, time and enabled state, appearance, and other app settings
- Record identifiers and created or updated timestamps used to preserve data format and integrity
Original records are handled on your device. The app does not separately analyze usage, and it does not automatically send diagnostic information or original records to SosoPixel.
3. Purposes and server transmission
On-device information is used to create, edit, and delete records; calculate net worth; produce comparisons and charts; apply currency and appearance settings; schedule reminders; and create or restore backups.
Asset Log does not connect to a bank or financial institution and does not send asset records to a SosoPixel server. It has no account, server synchronization, or automatic exchange-rate or market-price lookup. Advertising and support correspondence are handled separately as described below.
4. Encrypted backups and restoration
When you create a backup, all records, notes, and some app settings are placed in a file encrypted with a password you choose. The password is not sent to SosoPixel or retained by the app, and SosoPixel cannot recover a forgotten password.
You choose a destination or receiving service through your device's file and share interface. After export, the privacy policy and security settings of the selected storage location or receiving service apply.
Restoration validates the file and password, then replaces the device's current records and display currency with the complete backup after you confirm. You are responsible for retaining and deleting exported backup files.
5. Local notifications
Notifications are off by default, and Asset Log requests iOS notification permission only when you enable them. Your chosen monthly or quarterly schedule is calculated on the device and registered with the operating system without a SosoPixel server.
The notification does not contain asset or liability amounts. Depending on device settings, it may appear on the lock screen. You can turn it off in the app or in iOS Settings.
6. Google advertising and consent management
Asset Log uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK and User Messaging Platform for banner advertising on Overview and Records and for privacy-choice management. The app sends a non-personalized-ad signal and disables the publisher first-party identifier. It does not request App Tracking Transparency permission.
Asset and liability amounts, record dates, notes, backup contents or passwords, and reminder settings are not included in ad requests. Record-keeping remains available if advertising is restricted or not shown.
Google and businesses participating in ad delivery may process IP addresses, device or app identifiers, approximate location inferred from IP, app and ad interactions, advertising information, and performance or error information for non-personalized ad delivery and measurement, frequency management, fraud prevention, consent management, and diagnostics. Non-personalized ads may still use contextual information and device storage.
Where required, Google's consent notice appears before an ad request. Actual retention, deletion, and international processing of advertising and consent information follow the policies, settings, and contracts of Google and participating advertising partners.
7. Support correspondence
If you contact SosoPixel by email, SosoPixel receives your email address, message, and any files you choose to attach so that it can respond. Do not send actual asset amounts, notes, a backup password, or a backup file.
Support information is kept for as long as needed to handle the request, follow up, and meet related obligations, then deleted. It may be retained for a limited additional period when required by law or reasonably needed to address a dispute.
8. Retention and deletion
On-device records remain until you delete them in the app or remove the app. Original records are excluded from the device's automatic backup. SosoPixel cannot view or remotely delete the originals on your device.
Encrypted backup files that you export remain in the location you selected. Deleting records in the app or removing the app does not delete those files; you must delete them separately from each storage location.
Advertising and consent information handled by Google is retained and deleted under the provider's policies and user choices. You can request deletion of support correspondence using the email address below.
9. Your choices
- Edit or delete individual records in the app, or remove the app to delete its on-device app data.
- Turn reminders off or change notification permission in the app or iOS Settings.
- When shown, manage advertising choices through the app's advertising privacy screen and Google Ads Settings.
- Send SosoPixel a request concerning access, correction, or deletion of support information; requests are handled under applicable law.
10. Security and children
Records on your device receive the security protection provided by the operating system and are excluded from the device's automatic backup. Exported backups are protected with a password. No storage or transmission method, however, can guarantee absolute security.
Asset Log is not designed for children under 14 and has no account that collects age. A guardian who believes a child sent personal information in a support request may ask for its deletion using the contact below.
11. Changes and contact
If app features, external services, data practices, or applicable law change, SosoPixel will update this policy and its effective date. Material adverse changes will be announced in advance through a reasonably available method.
The latest policy is available on this page. Contact the email address below with questions or requests about personal information.
